The Points of VU Team

Name: Sid Sapru
Class of: 2014
Hometown: Naperville, IL
Major: Political Science/Economics
Favorite thing about the Points of VU crew: Everyone is so dedicated, yet still so much fun to work with.
You should watch us because: we’re more fun than the guys on CSPAN, and better looking
Favorite moment on the show: Watching everything come together in the first episode of the show (late 2010).
Random fact about yourself: I’ve been in the same room as Barack Obama!

Name: Rachel Abeshouse
Class of: 2013
Hometown: East Meadow, NY
Major: Neuroscience, Film Minor
Favorite thing about the crew: Everyone really has an area of expertise and brings it to the table every time. They’re also wonderful people, and they’re a lot of fun to hang out and make TV with.
Favorite moment on the show: The entire Ariana Huffington/Ben Smith/Time Pawlenty episode.
You should watch us because: We’re always getting better. We present issues that really matter and present several different viewpoints on them, so that you get a good background to help shape yours. What’s better than that?
Random fact about me: I have a twin brother.

Name: Yimage Ahmed
Class of: 2015
Hometown: Dallas, Texas
Major: Neuroscience
Favorite thing about the crew: The crew is very interactive and open to new ideas.
You should watch us because: Listening to the different political ideologies represented by the diverse Vanderbilt student body.

Name: Britt Johnson
Class of: 2012
Hometown: Laytonsville
Double Major: Political Science and Medicine Health and Society
Favorite thing about the crew: Sid and I are both from the DC area, I first connected with him during a flight back to DC. Politics took hold of our entire conversation. Its pretty awesome that we now have a show together. Now we can expand our discussions beyond an airplane flight and into the televisions of Vandy students.
You should watch us because: Points of View compacts all the important political news you need to know. Watch us before job interviews and cocktail parties, you’ll sound intelligent and well read. You’ll thank us later.
Favorite moment on the show: Playing pump up music before the show. While everyone is reading their script, I dance around the studio.
Random fact about yourself: Childhood is about imagination. While most children were using their imagination to play tea party and dress up, I was using it hold pretend executive board meetings and mock election. I guess that’s the political junkie in me.
